The Gulshan is an upmarket Indian Restaurant located in South Liverpool - one of the best Liverpool restaurants you are likely to find. Indeed, one of only a handful of Liverpool restaurants listed in the Michelin Guide. The Gulshan Indian Restaurant offers a relaxing atmosphere combined with a delightful ambience and authentic Indian cuisine, including a range of vegetarian dishes - what more could you want? At the Gulshan we are fully able to meet your needs; business, social or special gatherings, particularly weddings, parties, or that once in a lifetime occasion. It was in 1986 when Salina Rahman eventually found the perfect spot in Grassendale, Liverpool, for their new Indian restaurant. Mustafa proudly describes his wife as the backbone and founder of the business. The whole concept for the restaurant was down to her. Gulshan is a girl's name originating in Persia. It is a metaphor for the Eastern idea of paradise; a mystic rose garden. The Gulshan is elegantly decorated throughout. From the stained glass windows and chairs upholstered in red leather, through to the crisp linen on the tables, the bespoke china and cutlery. The moment you walk through the door, you know you are in an upmarket establishment. The soft lighting is reflected by the golden ceiling, creating a mystical atmosphere. A superb, relaxing environment for enjoying the very best Indian cuisine. The very comfortable lounge area is the ideal place to relax with a pre-dinner drink while browsing the extensive menu. The restaurant seats approximately 80, divided into two separate dining rooms (one non smoking). Air conditioning ensures a comfortable temperature and no lingering smoke. The Gulshan is now an award-winning restaurant, serving some of the very best curries in the North West, including many dishes not often found on the menu. And who better to prepare authentic Indian food than a chef straight from Bangaladesh. The staff at the Gulshan Restaurant are primarily family members, who share our commitment to excellent service and the highest standards. The Best Indian Restaurant in Liverpool A regular entry in the guide, the Gulshan has been voted Best in the North more than once - quite an achievement given the abundance of popular Indian restaurants in Manchester. " We have had acres of reports about this place from all sorts of people, which makes it stand out. They adore the place and are very enthusiastic about it...They care here and that goes right down to every department " The Liverpool based Gulshan has merited an entry in the world famous Michelin Guide since 1995.
